MSDS Admission Requirements
学生 can be admitted in either 分类 or conditionally 分类 standing. GRE是可选的 for the 数据科学硕士 program. It is not a requirement. However, if you do submit the scores, they will be used to compare and rank the applicants.
To enter this program with 分类 standing, a student must have passed the following prerequisites 课程s (with a C- or better OR the listed required grade below):
- Three semesters college-level calculus 课程s - differential calculus (e.g.、数学 30 at 菠菜网lol正规平台), integral calculus (e.g.、数学 31 at 菠菜网lol正规平台), and a multivariable caluculus 课程(e.g.、数学 32 at 菠菜网lol正规平台), with a grade of B or better on the multivariable calculus 课程.
- A linear algebra 课程(e.g.、数学 39 at 菠菜网lol正规平台), with a grade of B or better.
- A discrete math 课程(e.g.、数学 42 or CS 42 at 菠菜网lol正规平台).
- An upper-division calculus-based statistics 课程(e.g.、数学 161A at 菠菜网lol正规平台), with a grade of B or better.
- A probability theory 课程(e.g.、数学 163 at 菠菜网lol正规平台), with a grade of C or better.
- Two CS introductory 课程s on programming and data structures (e.g.、cs46a和CS 46B (菠菜网lol正规平台).
- An upper division data structures and algorithms 课程(e.g., CS 146 at 菠菜网lol正规平台), with a grade of B or better.
- An advanced 课程 in object-oriented programming (e.g., CS 151 or CMPE 135 at 菠菜网lol正规平台) or two semesters of statistical programming 课程work, (e.g.数学167R和数学 167PS(上海大学).
Applicants from countries in which the native language is not English must submit 托福成绩. Minimum 托福成绩 acceptable for admission are 575 (纸质), 240 (计算机),或 100 (互联网).
