M.S. In Chemical 工程
The Department of Chemical 工程 at San José State University offers both full-time and part-time programs of study leading to the MS ChE degree. The program of study, which may involve either the thesis or non-thesis option, provides a balanced program of advanced study of chemical engineering principles with emphasis on both fundamental and applied aspects of the problem in the chosen area of research.
The core program is complemented by a variety of advanced technical electives, allowing the program to be tailored to the needs and interests of the individual. Late afternoon and early evening classes are regularly scheduled for the convenience of employed engineers who wish to pursue graduate work on a part-time basis. The program of study involves independent study projects that culminate in a research project or a thesis, wherein the student will work under the direction of a faculty advisor.
Current research projects are in areas of catalysis, biochemical process engineering, biomedical engineering, machine learning, and sustainable engineering. 项目是 sponsored by local industries as well as by government funding agencies.
